About the Founder
Heather Jackson is the founder of The Equestrian Link and the owner of Springstone Equestrian, where she has spent more than 20 years training riders and developing young horses.
A lifelong competitor in dressage, show jumping, and eventing, Heather brings more than 40 years of experience within the American horse industry. Over that time, she has experienced the industry from nearly every angle—as a breeder, trainer, competitor, parent, farm owner, and educator. That experience has given her a firsthand understanding of both the extraordinary strengths of American equestrian sport and the challenges that continue to limit its growth.
Heather's background also extends beyond the barn. She holds a BFA in Film Production from SUNY Purchase, giving her a foundation in storytelling, visual media, and production.
In 2026, Heather brought these experiences together to create The Equestrian Link—a media and analytics platform dedicated to exploring the people, horses, ideas, and business shaping the future of American equestrian sport.
The Equestrian Link is built on a simple belief: a stronger American horse industry begins with better information, better education, and better connections.
Through storytelling, research, education, and industry analysis, Heather's goal is to help create a more informed, connected, and forward-thinking American equestrian community.
